IPPO International Project Platform Offenbach
for international, intercultural projects

IPPO okay, but who stands behind it?

Prof. Petra Kellner and Prof. Georg-Christof Bertsch officially started IPPO on the occasion of their Offenbach symposium on water-related issues "Reflecting Waters" on July 4th 2007. In a permanent interaction between teachers and students and with occasional interchanges with specialists and the IPPO board of advisors projects will be developed, evaluated and tutored.

Who is cooperating with IPPO?

IPPO is an independent private initiative which has no institutional links with Hochschule fuer Gestaltung Offenbach. IPPO is nevertheless connected to this University through a variety of contacts, joint projects and a series of personalities teaching and studying there.

Within the framework of relations with international design Universities as well as the City of Offenbach and international corporations, IPPO is dedicating its efforts to the development of a democratic and self-determined design-thinking, focussing on the creation of sustainable solutions while following it's motto: design people in instead of out the processes.

Since many years Petra and Georg have been working with and at Escola de Desenho Industrial, Rio de Janeiro; Bezalel Acamdemy of Art and Design, Jerusalem; Istanbul Teknik Üniversitesi, Istanbul; Freie Universitaet Bozen, Bozen/Bolzano. Professors and students from these institutions form a decisive part of IPPOs network-structure.

What is IPPO's goal?

Together with teachers, students and post-graduates we want to learn how to work most naturally in complex and contradictory international and intercultural contexts. We wish to enhance long-term and trust-based personal relationships through the interchange of opinions, skills and knowledge.
